Psychic and medium are some of the most commonly misunderstood terms in spirituality. Many people think they are the same thing, but there is an important distinction to be made here.
What is a psychic?
Many assume that ‘psychic’ encompasses everything, but the term psychic is a general term that refers to someone who can see into the future and/or connect with spiritual beings.
A psychic is someone who can tune in to your soul and higher self to see what is currently going on in your life and what might come in the future. Usually, if a person advertises or calls themselves a psychic, they are just that โ a psychic only.
There are some amazing psychics in this world who are purely psychic (rather than a psychic and a medium). A psychic reading can be very healing for a person who is looking for support, advice and guidance on a current life issue.
What is a medium?
A medium is someone who can connect to deceased relatives and friends that are no longer physically living on the earthly plane. Instead, they are in the afterlife, across the veil.
A medium always has the abilities of both psychic and mediumship communication, and are often called ‘psychic mediums’. So in essence, all mediums are psychics, but not all psychics are mediums.
How do I know which reading I should get?
If you are seeking advice on different things or issues going on in your life, then you will want to see a psychic. If you are looking to connect to a deceased relative, then you want to look for a medium.
For myself as a psychic medium, I like to be guided by spirit or source in order to determine what direction I am going to go in with you. Later in the session, you can ask a question but not in the beginning. This is because I feel it is important that we allow your soul and higher self to freely express what it needs to while you are in a conscious state, without the interruption of questions.
When you are having a psychic session, you are aware in a conscious state which allows you to remember what is shared, as opposed to dreaming or being in a more lucid state when you are not fully aware. As such, it is common to come to a psychic session with questions that you want answered, but what you might find surprising is that many of those questions you have will likely already be answered by your soul and higher self without you having to ask. This is why I like to start the sessions without questions in the beginning.
In a mediumship reading, your deceased loved ones that have crossed over to the afterlife will speak through me with thoughts, images, words and sound. They can show you what is coming ahead in your life by a few months, however, it is my psychic connection with your higher self and your soul that will show a timeline even further out.
